Crows Nest Tourist Park gets a New Lease of Life

​​​If you had the opportunity to buy a caravan park anywhere in the country where would you choose? The ever popular East Coast beaches, crowded with people, battling for free space? Or a peaceful, leafy area in regional Queensland? 

For Gerald Searle and business partner Phillip Curnuck, the choice was a no-brainer! The two have a successful history of operating tourist parks ranging from the Snowy Mountains to Northern Queensland. ​When the opportunity arose to acquire a tourist park in the small, rural town of Crows Nest, less than two hours from Brisbane, they jumped at the chance. Like many people who live in the city, choosing to spend recreational time in an area like Crows Nest wasn't high on their list of things to do. However, it wasn’t long before the two found themselves drawn to the wide open spaces, peace and raw beauty of the area .

The Crows Nest Tourist and Caravan Park encourages real connections, as owner Gerald Searle agrees, “It’s about playing cricket with family, you don’t have the opportunity to do that in the tight spaces of a coastal tourist park. ​Maintaining the Park's charm and character is a top priority for the owners and their management team, who aren't afraid of getting their hands dirty to showcase the park in its true beauty and show just why they believe visiting Crows Nest should be on the top of everyone's to-do lists.
